This historic report is a summary of the first national conference dedicated to fair housing testing, held December 6th and 7th, 1984. Fair housing tests are designed to reveal and document discriminatory practices on the part of people involved in selling or providing housing, and are an important tool in the enforcement of fair housing law. Approximately 250 people attended the event, and 36 speakers presented on a range of topics related to testing. This publication includes written comments and prepared papers presented at the conference.
