Commemorating the U.S. Housing Act: 25 Years of Progress in Housing
This informational package, prepared by the Public Relations Committee and Housing Divisions of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, provides local housing officials with ideas about conducting 25th anniversary commemorations of the 1937 U.S. Housing Act. The publication suggests using the 1962 commemoration to promote local affordable housing programs and includes a Public Housing Administration fact sheet, a sample proclamation for local officials, a chronology of national progress in the areas of housing slum-clearance, suggestions for press releases and anniversary events, and a 25th anniversary U.S. Housing Act emblem for use on promotional material and other items.
