Report Acceptance Date: March 1979 (74 pages)

Posted Date: December 17, 2020

This historical report, undertaken by the Southwest Research Institute and HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research, is an analysis of the adequacy of 1976's Mobile Home Construction and Safety Standards and an attempt to improve upon those standards. This volume, the final of six, describes a proposed field test method that could be used to measure the stiffness parameters of mobile homes. Such parameters are needed to verify adherence to standards and to predict the remaining useful life of the unit.
