The purpose of this study is to identify successful approaches and programs to assist non-elderly people with disabilities overcome challenges encountered when using housing rental assistance, searching for and successfully leasing housing in the community. The study includes a literature review, an environmental scan, and nine case studies. It will identify major components of these programs, key organizations and agencies involved, helpful tools and policies (both for housing and health agencies), staffing needs, costs and funding sources, and any available evidence of their effectiveness. Results are expected in 2024.
