This historic pamphlet contains the transcript of a roundtable discussion which took place at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. The discussion, led by National Public Housing Conference Executive Director Helen Alfred, featured the following speakers: Lean H. Keyserling, Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Housing Authority; Edward Weinfeld, Superintendent of the New York State Housing Authority; Alfred Rheinstein, Chairman of the New York City Housing Authority; and Irving Brant, journalist and author. The speakers discussed slum clearance, the social necessity of public housing, and more, and the pamphlet was sold to the public for five cents per copy.
