Fair housing is both a right and responsibility for all Americans. It is important for all of us to strengthen our commitment to combatting housing discrimination. The Fair Housing Enforcement Demonstration was conducted to test the efficacy of a cooperative relationship between HOD and private fair housing groups to strengthen enforcement of Title VIII, the Fair Housing Law. It emphasized the use of testing as one element in this cooperative relationship aimed at strengthening fair housing enforcement.
