This historic publication is a listing of housing systems proposals submitted to the Operation Breakthrough demonstration. Operation Breakthrough was a HUD demonstration project, launched in 1969, to test innovative building methods and materials for the industrial production of housing at volume. Each proposal is given as a written description, followed by a standardized summary to include details of the site, building system and subsystems, economics, production, management, and an additional category for codes and major innovative concepts.
