This historic design guide, prepared by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory for a joint HUD-DOE Initiative on Energy Efficiency in Housing that launched in 1990, addresses energy efficient design as it relates to cultural issues in Indian housing. The guide discusses passive solar strategies, natural cooling, software such as BuilderGuide, and a range of other issues.
