This document, prepared for President Eisenhower by the President’s Advisory Committee on Government Housing Policies and Programs, provides five recommendations for the development of a new housing program. The five recommendations, broadly, address: slum clearance; maintenance of existing homes; the building of new houses; special assistance for low income families; and reorganization of the Federal Housing Agency.
