2007 RDD Results for Hawaii County, HI

A local Random Digit Dialing (RDD) survey of recent mover rents was completed for Hawaii County, HI. The result was applied to the FMR for Hawaii County, HI. HUD uses the results of a privately-conducted local RDD to adjust the FMR if the forward-trended result of the private survey is higher than the evaluated rent based on the regular update factor.

HUD inflates the December 2006 rent of $845 to April 2008, using a national annual growth rate of 3% for 15 Months (1.25 years) for use in comparison to the RDD result of $998 which has also been trended to April 2008. The 2008 trended rent is calculated as $845 x 1.031.25 = $877. The following table enumerates the evaluation of the RDD Result:

Therefore, the 2007 RDD Result trended to April 2008 of $998 is used as the 2008 Final FMR.
