Rent estimates at the 50th percentile (or median) are calculated for all Fair Market Rent areas. THESE ARE NOT FAIR MARKET RENTS. Under certain conditions, as set forth in the Interim Rule (Federal Register Vol. 65, No. 191, Monday October 2, 2000, pages 58870-58875), these 50th percentile rents can be used to set success rate payment standards. 2020 50th PERCENTILE RENTS
Note: The 50th percentile data files were updated to reflect revised FMRs, that were effective on April 10, 2020, for six areas: Asheville, NC HMFA; Eugene-Springfield, OR MSA; Portland, ME HMFA; Santa Maria-Santa Barbara, CA MSA; Worcester, MA HMFA; and Guam. On June 5, 2020, HUD updated the Data by Area file to correct the 2017 Housing Unit counts (hu2017).
