Identify your community's needs through mapping current grant activities, local housing market and economic data, Census data, and other data sources, and see homeless grant planning data. CPD Maps offers a large amount of data in a way that is easy to access. The website allows grantees and the general public to easily search, query, and display information to identify trends and analyze the needs of their community. In addition to updated U.S. Census data, CPD Maps also includes data sets that highlight the accomplishments and results of HUD programs by displaying Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and other HUD-funded community assets. As grantees gain a deeper understanding of their affordable housing and community development needs, they will be better able to set priorities, target resources, and track outcomes.
The Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) seeks to develop viable communities by promoting integrated approaches that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities for low and moderate income persons. The primary means towards this end is the development of partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector, including for-profit and non-profit organizations.
