Call for Entries: AIA/HUD Secretary’s 2017 Housing & Community Design Awards

Applications for the 2017 Housing and Community Design Awards program are currently being accepted by the Residential Knowledge Community of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These annual awards recognize excellence in affordable housing, community-based design, participatory design, and housing accessibility.

Award-winning designs will be publicized by HUD and featured in AIA’s online newspaper, AIA Architect. The winning designs will also be honored at the 2017 AIA national convention in Orlando, Florida, on April 27–29.

Applications are due November 18, 2016. Award criteria and instructions for online submissions are located at the AIA website. Questions should be directed to AIA at (202) 626-7563 or by email to Visit the HUD Secretary's Awards page on HUD User to read about past winners.
