Capacity, Research, Impact: PD&R’s Biennial Report

HUD’s Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) has released its biennial report, Capacity, Research, Impact, which covers work PD&R completed in Fiscal Years 2015 and 2016 and provides an update on projects underway or planned. The report describes PD&R’s crucial role in supporting HUD’s mission by conducting, sponsoring, and sharing research, data, surveys, demonstrations, program evaluations, and best practices. In particular, it demonstrates how investments in PD&R continue to result in significant impact on the ground.

Read Capacity, Research, Impact to learn how PD&R will continue to support the fields of housing and community development by focusing on accurate data, rigorous research, and sound policy advice; by investing in robust outlets to communicate this work and expand PD&R’s reach; by learning from and fostering collaboration among local leaders; and by developing a broader evidence infrastructure through cross-agency data matching efforts and research vehicles like the Multidisciplinary Research Team, the Research Partnerships initiative, and data license agreements.
