Call for Nominations: 2019 Secretary's Awards for Healthy Homes

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes, in partnership with the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the fifth annual Secretary's Awards for Healthy Homes. These awards recognize excellence in making indoor environments healthier through healthy homes research, education, and program delivery, especially in low-to-moderate income communities. The award is given in four categories: Public Housing/Multifamily Housing; Policy and Education Innovation; Cross-Program Coordination; and Research.

New this year, please submit a Letter of Intent by February 28, 2019, to HUDAward@neha.org. The Letter of Intent may take the form of a letter or an e-mail, but it must include the organization name and contact person. The nomination deadline is 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time, March 29, 2019. Nominations will only be accepted through the online application form. Applicants will be notified of their status around May 24, 2019. Award recipients will be honored at the 2019 NEHA Annual Education Conference and Exhibition on July 11, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee.
