On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 PM ET, HUD’s Office of Policy Development & Research (PD&R) will host a PD&R Quarterly Update focused on homelessness and the path ahead for policymaking. Leading experts will have a crucial conversation examining HUD’s role in addressing homelessness with an emphasis on addressing the root causes of homelessness, including mental illness and substance abuse. Our experts will discuss best practices that prioritize self-sufficiency, access to treatment programs, and community safety.

The in-person event will be at the Constitution Center at 400 7th Street, SW Washington, DC, across the street from HUD Headquarters.

In-person attendees are encouraged to arrive approximately 20 minutes early to accommodate building security. Please note, food and drink — including water in any container — is strictly prohibited in the event space.
