The Office of Policy Development and Research is pleased to announce the 4th annual Innovation in Affordable Housing Student Design and Planning Competition (IAH) final. The competition strives to spur research and innovation in affordable housing, increase practitioner and future practitioner capacity, and support collaboration in design and community development. This year's real-life scenario requires graduate students across disciplines such as architecture, urban planning, public policy, and finance to develop recommendations that address social, economic, environmental, design, and construction issues in planning the redevelopment of Woodhill Homes, a 478-unit multifamily property owned and operated by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. The students will present their final projects to a jury of practitioners and a live audience at HUD headquarters in Washington, DC. The winning team and the runner up will be announced at the conclusion of the event. The finalist teams represent the following universities:
