The National Housing Preservation Database has been updated and the website has been resigned to make it more user-friendly. The National Housing Preservation Database is a project of NLIHC and the Public and Affordable Housing Research Corporation. It contains property and subsidy level data pulled from nine different HUD and USDA data sources. The database contains information on over 70,000 properties nationwide.

The recent updates to the database include an expanded choice of data fields, new filtering capabilities, and new format options for downloading data. The updated research tool also allows users to customize data tables for download and filter data more easily. These new features can be accessed through the National Housing Preservation Database Research Tool. Users may also access a recently updated Mapping Tool to plot assisted housing properties in their community.
