This historic report examines the Federal incentives directed toward single-family homeowners in order to encourage them to adopt solar technologies. The document discusses the general prospects for the adoption of these technologies, absent Federal support, and presents the authors findings regarding the types of incentives employed. Additionally, the publication includes an appendix that compiles and reviews a list of residential solar incentive bills introduced into the 94th and 95th sessions of Congress as of May 1977.
