This historic publication is an Operation Breakthrough Feedback Report, and details new building concepts for factory-produced modular housing developed during Operation Breakthrough. Each building concept is listed with the participating housing manufacturer responsible for its development. Operation Breakthrough was a HUD demonstration project to test innovative building materials and methods for the rapid production of housing at volume, in which 21 housing systems producers designed and built housing models at 9 preselected sites, beginning in 1969.
