This historic pamphlet, published by New York state’s Temporary State Housing Rent Commission, describes the protections, rights, and responsibilities of tenants facing eviction. The advice applies to renters of private accommodations constructed before February 1, 1947. While this document is undated, it was published during Robert C. Weaver’s term as New York State Rent Administrator, which lasted from 1955 – 1960.
