Evaluating Anchor Institutions’ Work in their Communities

Due to the recent government shutdown, the "Evaluating Anchor Institutions' Work in their Communities" event has been rescheduled for November 18, 2013. If you had previously registered, you will need to confirm your attendance by re-registering. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope that you will be able to join us.

This event will present a white paper submitted to the Annie E. Casey Foundation by the Democracy Collaborative of the University of Maryland that seeks to identify common indicators in areas of community engagement that anchor institutions agree to measure.

The white paper initiates a conversation aimed at achieving common priority outcomes — that is, areas of community engagement where anchor institutions agree to measure the effectiveness of their community work at the institutional level, and indicators — ways of evaluating progress toward achieving those outcomes. We believe that developing a viable set of indicators will help anchor institutions achieve a more concerted and strategic focus on equitable, inclusive, and place-based development. Please join us on November 18 and be a part of this important discussion.
