Call for Entries: HUD Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships nominations are open. This year we are also encouraging governors, mayors, and tribal leaders to nominate their philanthropic partners. We work in partnership with the Council on Foundations on this award that highlights best practices in public-philanthropic partnerships. Non-profits and foundations continue to be able to apply, but this year we are adding an additional opportunity for local leaders to recognize their public-philanthropic partnerships. Applications are due on March 28, 2022, and HUD will recognize all winners at a ceremony in June 2022. Below is a synopsis of the award.
"The Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships recognize excellence in partnerships that have both transformed the relationships between the sectors and led to measurable benefits in housing and community development, including increased economic development, health, safety, education, workforce development, disaster resilience, inclusivity and cultural opportunities, innovative regional approaches, and/or housing access for low- and moderate-income families."
