Adding to the substantial body of work contained in the
"Comprehensive Market Analysis Reports" series, the new
market analysis reports just keep on coming....

The latest reports assess housing market conditions in
Lincoln, Nebraska and Wilmington-Newark, Delaware-
Maryland. The Office of Policy Development and Research's
Economic and Market Analysis Division developed these
reports to help guide HUD's operations, but the factual
information, findings, and conclusions contained therein
may also prove useful to builders, mortgagees, and others
concerned with local housing conditions and trends.

To support the market analysis and forecast, each report
contains several data tables illustrating employment,
demographic, and housing trends. Topic areas found in
each report include:

o Household Incomes

o Population

o Households

o Housing Inventory

o Housing Vacancy

o Sales Market Conditions

o Rental Market Conditions

o Forecast Housing Demand

HUD economists develop the factual framework for each
analysis based on information available from both local
and national sources as of a specific date. Thus, the
findings and conclusions may be modified to address
future developments. The reports take into consideration
changes in the economic, demographic, and housing
inventory characteristics of a specific housing market
area during three periods: from 1990 to 2000, from 2000
to the "as of" date of the analysis, and from the "as of"
date to a specified forecast date.
