HUD USER has posted a new Comprehensive
Housing Market
Analysis report for the Austin-Round
Rock, Texas housing
market area (HMA). The report shows
that during the 12
months ending June 2009, compared with
the previous 12-
month period:
o The average home price fell nearly
3 percent;
o Existing home sales decreased 22
percent;
o The number of single-family home
permits issued was down
nearly 34 percent; and
o The rental vacancy rate was 12 percent,
up from 8
percent.
This report covers the most recent
12 months, as well as
the periods from 1990 to 2000, 2000
through June 2009, and
a projected three-year period from
July 1, 2009 to July 1,
2012.
