Subject: AHS Codebook 1.21

Apologies for having to come out with a new version so quickly, a user
discovered an error in the SMSA list that we wanted to correct as soon as
possible.  As a result, version 1.21 of the AHS codebook is out and available
on HUD USER, the only change is in the SMSA list.

The next release of the AHS codebook will probably be towards the end
of August. As of now, the major enhancement in that version will be a new piece
of information describing if the variable is edited for confidentiality other
than top- and bottom-coding. There are only a few of these – less than a dozen,
but the Census Bureauand HUDthought it would be useful to document in the
codebook.

If you have any corrections or requests for clarifications, please let
me know so that we caninclude them in the next release.

Subject: Construction IFB/RF

Our HA owns a number of vacant lots.  Is anyone familiar with a
proposal/teaming agreement where the HA would team/partner with a construction
company/other entity to develop housing on these lots for payment other than
what a contractor would receive through a traditional construction contract?

Thanks.
