Report Acceptance Date: January 1943 (17 pages)

Posted Date: December 05, 2025

This historical publication was produced by the National Housing Agency (NHA) to answer questions regarding how the government balances the needs of war, “the adequate supplies of men, machines and materials at the right places” with the need to house workers and soldiers necessary for those endeavors. The report explains the process by which the War Manpower Commission coordinated with NHA to provide shelter where it was most needed, how the government was conserving resources needed for the war, the type of shelter provided, and how the community could get involved in supporting the war effort.

This report is part of the collection of scanned historical documents available to the public.
