SSRC webinar

The Office of Policy Development and Research is pleased to share the following announcement on behalf of the Self-Sufficiency Research Clearinghouse (SSRC).

On January 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM EST, SSRC will host the "Promoting Work in Public Housing: Employment Service Programs" webinar. This free webinar will explore the integration of employment supports by public housing authorities. The program will also cover outcomes of job training and work placement support for residents of public housing.

General Deputy Assistant Secretary for HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) Jean Lin Pao will facilitate the webinar. PD&R's Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Research, Evaluation, and Monitoring Calvin Johnson will be speaking, along with HUD's Director of Public Housing Supportive Services, Ron Ashford. Representatives from MDRC, the Urban Institute, Abt Associates, and ICF International will describe their experiences implementing and evaluating economic and job development programs that focus on public housing residents.
