The Southampton Housing Authority and the nonprofit community group YouthBuild are partnering in the rehabilitation of a single-family home through Suffolk County’s Affordable Housing Opportunities Program. The collaboration creates affordable housing and provides training to previously unemployed, low-income youths.

HUD’s Regional Housing Scorecard Spotlights

HUD’s Regional Housing Scorecard
Beginning in 2011, HUD and the U.S. Department of Treasury have issued a regional spotlight as a bimonthly addendum to the nation’s monthly housing scorecard. The regional scorecard highlights how the foreclosure crisis has impacted regions across the country.

HUD staff from the Office of Policy Development and Research and the Economic and Market Analysis Division play an integral role in the federal response to disasters. The analyses of housing and economic conditions performed by HUD in affected areas are important in helping federal, state, and local decision makers guide the recovery response.

NEW Statistical Reports:
Housing Scorecard
The Housing Scorecard tracks progress towards stabilizing the nation’s housing market with a monthly report. Issued by HUD and the U.S. Department of Treasury, and included as a new feature of The Edge, the statistical reports of the scorecard provide key housing market trends and highlights.
