If you missed the "How Do Households Describe Where They Live?" webinar, don't worry!

The new webinar—recorded live on June 24—will be available on Census.gov within the next few weeks. HUD PD&R's latest online event includes:

  • A snapshot of the 2017 American Housing Survey (AHS) data on how households describe their neighborhoods;

  • A preview of new AHS products created from the survey data; plus

  • Insights from special guests, Jed Kolko (Indeed) and Emily Molfino, (Census Bureau).

Over the next few weeks, we will be posting additional resources featuring the AHS neighborhood description data, including new infographics and a short article. These resources will highlight the important stories the 2017 AHS neighborhood description data tell about how respondents describe their neighborhoods and introduce two new AHS data products—the Neighborhood Description Study Summary Tables and the Urbanization Perceptions Small Area Index (UPSAI).

Watch your email for more announcements as the webinar and other new resources are published!

The AHS team thanks you for your continued interest in the American Housing Survey. We are excited to help you discover the wealth of information that can be found in the AHS and demonstrate our commitment to making AHS data as easy as possible to access and use.

We want to hear from you. If you have questions or suggestions for other AHS webinars, or if you need our help in exploring AHS data, call us at 1-800-245-2691 or email us at helpdesk@huduser.gov.
