In July 2025, the U.S. Census Bureau hosted an event illustrating how renters, owners, or investors can use the agency’s tools and resources to find data to inform their housing decisions. The Evolution of Housing Data in the United States, Part 2: The Rise of Modern Housing Data

Creating Housing for Individuals Living With Disabilities in Rhode Island
In the island community of Jamestown, Rhode Island, development partners SWAP, Inc., and Looking Upwards turned a derelict commercial building into 12 housing units, known as 2 Hammett Court. SWAP views 2 Hammett Court as a pilot for future projects that combine housing for individuals living with IDDs alongside units for general population residents.
