
In 2023, HUD awarded $3,207,839 to Texas Tech University to support the Center of Excellence in Climate Resilient and Equitable Housing (CECREH). CECREH will conduct projects to evaluate how specific communities have experienced recurrent and unequal exposure to extreme historical climate events. The Center's research focuses on (1) assessing the risk of climate change to underserved communities, (2) building capacity, and (3) exploring resilient plans and policies for climate risks.
