Using AI to Promote Equitable
and Affordable Housing
The deployment of artificial intelligence in
housing-related activities is underway and poised to accelerate in the
coming years. Although the new technology offers policymakers a
significant opportunity to make the housing system more efficient and
responsive, ensuring that these technologies are designed and used to
advance equity, fair housing, affordability, and other housing-related

for its green features, particularly its use of cross-laminated timber, which enables faster
construction time and has a lower environmental impact than steel and concrete construction.
