This historic document is a program from the 5th annual meeting of the Building Research Institute, held in Niagara Falls, Ontario from May 20-22, 1956. The conference featured panels and sessions on community and home design, as well as city planning. The event was a joint project of the Federal Housing Administration’s Technical Program and the National Academy of Sciences’ Building Research Institution, and focused especially on the desired features of homemakers.
