This historic document is a record of the proceedings of the National Conference on Postwar Housing, held at Chicago’s Drake Hotel from March 8-10, 1944. The conference, which discussed the outlook of housing in America after the second World War, was attended by 639 people, and included sessions on home financing, redevelopment, housing for low-income populations, new construction methods such as prefabrication and factory building, and building materials.
